Facilities
La Casa del Cine en Níjar is a small, personal property, so the facilities are those of a well-kept Andalusian home rather than a large hotel: generous outdoor space, private kitchens and bathrooms, and a host who is genuinely present.
Outdoors and views
The flower-filled patio, garden, sun deck, solarium and rooftop terrace are the heart of the house, with outdoor furniture, an outdoor dining area, a picnic area, beach umbrellas and loungers. Guests come up in the evening to read, take a sun bath or watch the sun set over the Sierra Alhamilla.
Rooms and comfort
All units are non-smoking and offer air conditioning, heating, fans, private bathrooms with bath or shower, free toiletries, towels, linens, hairdryers, wardrobes, sockets near the bed, clothes and drying racks, tile or marble and carpeted floors, private entrances and a view. Family rooms and interconnected rooms are available, and a safe, security alarm and key access are in place.
Kitchen and dining
Each apartment has its own kitchen or kitchenette with dining table, refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, toaster, electric kettle, kitchenware, cleaning products and a washing machine. Breakfast is served à la carte with juice, cheese and fruit, and breakfast to go is available. There is a bar, room service, breakfast in the room, packed lunches, special diet meals on request, kids' meals, fruit and wine or champagne on request.
Activities
Free use of bicycles, movie nights in the patio, cooking classes, themed dinners, walking tours, classes about local culture, evening entertainment, karaoke, bingo, bar crawls and board games are all part of life at the house. Nearby you can go hiking, cycling, snorkelling, diving, windsurfing, horseback riding or simply spend the day at the beach. Some activities carry an additional charge.
Family and services
An indoor play area, board games and puzzles, books, DVDs and music for children, babysitting and child services make the house easy with children. Daily housekeeping, laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, a suit press, grocery deliveries, a tour desk, baggage storage, invoices, wake-up service, fax and photocopying are available, some with an additional charge.
Internet, parking and pets
Free Wi-Fi throughout, measured at 43 Mbps, is fast enough for HD streaming and video calls. The property has no parking of its own, but two free public car parks are around two minutes away on foot. An airport shuttle and shuttle service can be arranged for an additional charge. Pets are welcome free of charge. Upper floors are accessible by stairs only. English, Spanish and French are spoken.
